Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Water/Wastewater Plant Operator to participate in operation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities in North America. The role includes monitoring equipment, collecting samples, running analyses, and keeping accurate records on shift schedules.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and MA Wastewater license grade 4, with preferred water/wastewater experience.

• Knowledge of safety procedures in maintenance and operations.
• Experience with water or wastewater preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plant equipment and monitor pumps, valves, motors, and chemical feed equipment.
• Collect samples, run tests, and maintain records.
• Adjust chemical treatment and participate in plant processes and lab analyses.
• Respond to hazardous releases and perform confined space entries as required.
• Maintain logs and records and assist regulatory inspections.
