The City of Palm Bay is seeking an experienced supervisor for the North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and related facilities. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safe and compliant operation, manage staff performance, and coordinate laboratory analyses and regulatory reporting.

This role involves budgeting, shift work possibility, and interaction with EPA, Florida DEP, and local authorities to maintain permits and optimize plant performance.

Qualificações

• Graduation from high school plus a minimum of six (6) years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations.
• An Associate degree or coursework in wastewater technology, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Directs the operations of the wastewater treatment plant and associated facilities.
• Plan and supervise safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the plant and facilities.
• Supervise staff engaged in plant operation, maintenance, waste sampling, and laboratory analysis.
• Review reports and maintain operating permits, coordinating with regulatory authorities and officials.
• Administer or make recommendations for routine personnel matters including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee budget administration and cost reporting for plant operations.
• May be assigned to shift work, weekends, and holidays and respond to after-hours calls.
