Job summary

The City of Largo seeks a technically skilled supervisor to operate and maintain its advanced Wastewater Reclamation Facility. You will oversee daily maintenance, process control, and compliance, coordinating with the Chief Plant Operator and Utilities Director to ensure reliable plant performance.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of supervisory plant experience are required; Florida license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; five years of related supervisory experience in plant operations preferred.
• Valid Driver's License; state or out-of-state equivalent license preferred.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, safety, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily maintenance, operation, and process control of the Wastewater Reclamation Facility.
• Leads maintenance, compliance, and personnel in coordination with the Chief Plant Operator.
• Prepares clear reports and KPI documentation; ensures regulatory reporting to DEP (DMR).
• Coordinates with contractors, engineers, and regulators to ensure facility performance.
