NCRWA in North Carolina is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee to support daily operations under close supervision. You will perform plant inspections, collect samples, and help compile data for state and federal reporting.

Responsibilities include learning basic laboratory tests, assisting with minor repairs, and maintaining logs. Requires a high school diploma with chemistry, biology, and math coursework, a valid NC driver’s license, and the ability to obtain Grade I

Qualifications

• High school diploma with chemistry, biology and math coursework.
• Willingness to learn basic laboratory tests and operator procedures.
• Must obtain Grade I Wastewater Operator’s Certificate within 18 months.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine operation and inspections of wastewater plant, lift stations and related facilities.
• Collect samples and keep data logs for state and federal authorities.
• Assist in minor equipment repairs and read meters/gauges.
