Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a Rotating Operator Unlicensed for the Easton, PA wastewater facility.

You will work full-time to operate treatment processes, monitor controls, and perform routine maintenance under supervision of the Plant Superintendent. Responsibilities include collecting samples, running lab tests, ensuring compliance with discharge permits, maintaining safety gear, and coordinating with a small team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred in biology/chemistry or related science.
• Familiarity with sample collection and laboratory protocols preferred.
• Must pass PA Sewage Plant Operator License components within two years, and possess PA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling wastewater treatment during routine and emergency conditions.
• Prepare chemical batches and operate feed equipment per control orders.
• Maintain adequate chemical supplies and treat wastewater and sludge to standards.
• Maintain automatic sampling equipment and collect wastewater samples for lab tests.
• Operate a range of mechanical and electrical equipment used in treatment processes.
• Perform regular and unscheduled inspections and report equipment issues.
• Ensure safety instruments/equipment are functional, cleaned, and stored properly.
• Work independently and as part of a team; follow oral and written instructions.
