Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Wastewater Operator I to operate and maintain equipment in wastewater treatment facilities. The role involves testing, monitoring, and maintaining wells and unit processes, plus documenting performance and chemicals usage.

Candidate should be willing to obtain required certifications, work all shifts including on-call emergencies, and support safety and customer service efforts. CDL may be preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Willing to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques and safe practices.
• Able to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Familiar with regulatory rules and compliance.
• Experience in water/wastewater is desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends and 24-hour emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment such as valves, pumps, motors and disinfectors.
• Conducts routine testing and maintenance of wells and unit processes.
• Documents plant performance including flow, usage and chemical dosages.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintains clean, secure facilities and provides customer service when needed.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings and on-call shifts.
