Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operator I to operate and maintain equipment in water and wastewater facilities. The role requires mechanical aptitude and a willingness to obtain state-specific water/wastewater certification.

The operator will monitor processes, perform routine testing, and document performance while ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities include on-site maintenance, responding to after-hours emergencies, and providing customer service as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to pursue water or wastewater certification.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Knowledge of process control techniques and safe practices.
• Ability to follow manuals and SOPs; basic MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operates valves, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Performs routine testing and monitors water/wastewater processes.
• Documents plant performance including flow, chemical usage, and dosage.
• Responds to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Keeps facilities clean, secure, and well-maintained.
• Provides customer service when needed.
