Job summary

Dublin San Ramon Services District is recruiting for a Regular, full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I-II in the Plant Operations division. The position may be filled at Operator I or II level, under supervision, performing operations, control, and maintenance tasks at wastewater facilities including DERWA and LAVWMA.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable, proactive team player eager to learn in a technical environment, with safety focus and the ability to follow procedures.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience working in a wastewater treatment plant or similar industrial setting.
• Possession of a California SWRCB Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade I certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform a variety of operations, control, and maintenance functions in support of the District's wastewater treatment plant, DERWA and LAVWMA facilities including SCADA, micro-filter, reverse osmosis, and ultraviolet systems.
• Regulate influent and effluent flows within the system.
• Assist with basic laboratory testing and sample collection.
• Follow established policies and work methods; participate in safety procedures.
