Job summary

The City of Dublin is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III to ensure safe and efficient operation of the sewage treatment plant. This position includes covering a large working area and performing daily inspections of equipment.

Applicants must possess at least a high school diploma or GED, along with a valid driver's license. A Class "III" Operator's License in water and wastewater treatment is also required or must be obtained within one year of employment.

Description

The City of Dublin has an opening for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III. Work involves the safe and efficient operation of the sewage treatment plant during an assigned shift. Work involves covering a large working area which contains several operating units of the sewage treatment system. Work is reviewed by the supervisor who checks records and charts and makes daily inspections through the plants to check condition and upkeep of equipment. Work is performed under the direction of the Wastewater Plant Superintendent.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have a high school diploma or GED. Possession of a valid State of Georgia Driver's License. Requires a Class “III” Operator's License in both water and wastewater treatment as issued by the State of Georgia or the ability to acquire both licenses within one (1) year of employment.
