Job summary

City of Springfield (MO) seeks a Plant Maintenance Engineer to lead the maintenance program for our wastewater treatment plants and lift stations. You will supervise preventative maintenance, inventory control, and plans for equipment needs and emergencies.

You’ll provide technical support for electrical and instrumentation systems, collaborate with operations, and ensure compliance with EPA/MoDNR rules. A BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least three years in industrial plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance of a wastewater or similar industrial facility.
• Class A Wastewater Operator's Certificate and PE preferred, but not required; valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance program for wastewater treatment plants and lift stations.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and inventory control.
• Develop plans for equipment needs and emergency response; provide technical support for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Ensure compliance with EPA and MoDNR requirements.
