Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
• Missouri Class “A” wastewater certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to interpret and abide by federal, state and local laws.
• Experience supervising and managing employees in a WWTP setting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Public relations experience helpful.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, mechanical and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with plant maintenance planning and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and report information for federal/state permitting requirements.
• Assist in purchasing procedures for the department.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
• Conduct plant inspections and monitor controls.
• Plan future operation and maintenance projects for the facility.
• Supervise staff and coordinate personnel matters.
• Supervise management personnel and evaluate performances.
• Coordinate major projects to ensure safety, timeliness, and budget compliance.
• Attend regulatory conferences at the state level.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with schedules and planning.
