Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED certification.
• One year of experience in Houston Water Operations Technician Trainee or 18 months of building/mechanical maintenance.
• Valid Texas driver's license and compliance with City driving policy.
• Experience in plant and/or lift station maintenance preferred (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance on water and wastewater systems and facilities.
• Repair equipment such as pumps, motors, blowers, valves and lines at lift/pump stations.
• Collect and catalogue data on installed equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions and keep service/maintenance records.
