Job summary

City of Houston – Houston Public Works Emergency Management is seeking a Tier II position for maintenance management of wastewater facilities. Located at 611 Walker St, Houston, TX, the role involves coordinating planned and unplanned maintenance and monitoring service contracts.

Requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience. Preference for candidates with database experience and Texas license; includes extensive employee benefits and a competitive pension plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Project Management or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design, landscape design, geotechnical, environmental or a closely related field.
• Directly related professional architectural, construction or landscape design experience may substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance for wastewater facilities.
• Coordinate day-to-day work with Operations and Maintenance Planners and set priorities.
• Assist in preparation and execution of maintenance and monitoring of service contracts.
• Review CIP construction drawings and specifications and initiate new service contracts and projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Project Management

4+ years of experience in construction, design, or related field

Substitution: related professional experience may replace education
