Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a Wastewater Manager to oversee the facility's wastewater treatment operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient plant performance. You will lead a team of operators, monitor key treatment parameters, coordinate preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impact and waste loading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field.
• 5+ years managing industrial wastewater systems.
• Experience in food/poultry processing environments preferred.
• Experience with biological wastewater treatment and DAF.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily wastewater treatment systems including DAF and biological treatment.
• Monitor influent/effluent parameters (BOD, TKN, TSS, pH, ammonia, phosphorus, FOG).
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for pumps, aeration systems, clarifiers, centrifuges, dewatering equipment.
• Ensure compliance with EPA and state permits; prepare reports and respond to inspections.
• Lead and train operators; ensure 24/7 coverage and safe operations.
