Job summary

Foster Farms seeks a Wastewater Plant Operator to manage the daily operations of our industrial wastewater pretreatment facility. You will operate and maintain the treatment system, monitor regulatory compliance, calibrate monitors, and document results while keeping logs up to date.

The role requires reading manuals, performing repairs, and adhering to safety and GMP procedures as part of a reliable team. Overnight shifts may be required, and candidates should be able to lift heavy objects and

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' experience operating and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment.
• Wastewater/Water Operator Certification preferred.
• Able to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, compile and analyze data daily.
• Strong mechanical ability and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of an industrial wastewater pretreatment plant.
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems per permit.
• Analyze data and samples to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Repair pumps, drive units, valves, and plant equipment.
• Read manuals and plan repairs using diagrams and schematics.
• Calibrate pH probes and log results.
• Maintain logs of plant operations and records.
• Track chemical inventories and spare parts.
• Adhere to safety and GMP/food safety procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping and shift records.
• Accept additional duties as assigned.
