Job summary

The Town of East Hampton is seeking a Wastewater Superintendent to manage the Colchester/East Hampton joint wastewater treatment facility and the related collection system. You will oversee operations and maintenance and provide support for the East Hampton public water system as needed.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week with additional hours as necessary. Qualifications include progressive experience in water/wastewater, appropriate licenses, and a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Progressively increasing responsible experience in water/wastewater operations.
• Supervision or management experience in water/wastewater environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, may be substituted for experience.
• Valid CT Class 4 Wastewater license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations and maintenance of the Colchester/East Hampton joint facility and collection system.
• Provide support for operation and maintenance of East Hampton public water system as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
