Job summary

The City of Bothell is seeking a Public Works Maintenance Specialist - Wastewater in the Utilities Division to join our team. You will inspect and maintain wastewater collection systems, operate specialized equipment, perform CCTV inspections, and support lift stations with SCADA controls.

Emphasis on safety, reliability, and CMOM compliance. A successful candidate will collaborate across teams, make timely decisions under pressure, adapt to changes, and communicate clearly to support city

Qualifications

• Experience in wastewater utilities or maintenance preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment and perform inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on wastewater collection systems.
• Operate combination sewer cleaner/Vactor and hydro-jetting equipment.
• Conduct CCTV inspections to identify defects and determine repairs.
• Inspect and maintain lift stations, including pumps, alarms, and SCADA systems.
• Perform sewer main cleaning, root cutting, and manhole inspections.
• Respond to sewer blockages, SSOs, spills, and other emergencies.
• Work in CMOM-compliant manner to ensure safe, reliable wastewater operations.
• Build internal and external partnerships and communicate effectively.
