Job summary

King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) invites applicants for the Wastewater Construction Manager II role. You’ll join a team inspecting, testing, monitoring, and maintaining conveyance facilities, including 400+ miles of pipelines, delivering essential asset data and support to wastewater programs.

You’ll work in a hybrid, field-focused environment with colleagues across engineering, operations, and permitting.

Qualifications

• HS2 inspections knowledge and monitoring.
• Experience using spreadsheets for tracking and planning.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret schedules, drawings, specifications, and data reports; skill in reviewing and compiling data, developing reports.
• Work accurately with strong safety and quality awareness.
• Knowledge of Cathodic Protection systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and flexibility with priorities.
• Excellent organization and multi-project management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Proficiency with computers and applications.
• Adherence to standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Support Sewer System Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Program: perform inspections, diagnose pipelines; oversee cleaning/repair projects; report daily activities.
• Maintenance Hole inspection and repair: locate MHs, review drawings, and document field activities.
• H2S inspection, testing and monitoring: collect samples, analyze data, update SOPs, calibrate equipment.
• Support External Corrosion (Cathodic Protection) program: review maps, locate CP assets, update SOPs, assist with repairs and QA/QC.
