Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking a Wastewater Collection Maintenance Worker II to join our Public Services team. The role involves performing operations and maintenance of the wastewater collection system, inspecting lines, repairing facilities and managing records with TV video inspection equipment.

May lead a crew or handle a single function such as safety compliance. The position offers full city benefits and requires certified space entry, trenching, and flagging capabilities, along

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3 years in wastewater systems maintenance or 2 years as Wastewater Collection Maintenance Worker I.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor under extreme conditions, in confined spaces and with untreated sewage.
• Requires Confined Space Entry, Trenching, Shoring certifications and Flagging/Traffic Control placements.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, repair and maintain sewer lines and facilities using specialized TV inspection equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment and vehicles as required (high pressure cleaners, vacuum trucks, backhoes).
• Supervise or assist a small crew and ensure safety regulations are followed.
