Job summary

Town of Gilbert seeks a Lift Station Technician to oversee daily operation and maintenance of wastewater lift stations. The role requires on-call readiness, compliance with ADEQ certifications, and coordination with contractors during major repairs.

You'll observe stations daily, perform preventive and reactive maintenance, document actions, and generate weekly work orders. A high school diploma and specific technical training plus 2 years on-the-job experience are required, with CDL Tanker

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of technical training beyond high school in mechanical, plumbing/electrical, and basic sewer operations.
• 2 years of on-the-job experience in the same field.
• Must be on-call and standby duty.
• Must obtain ADEQ Grade 2 within 1 year of hire.
• Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement required at hire; must obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Visit and observe every lift station daily.
• Perform reactive maintenance on wastewater lift station equipment.
• Generate Lucity work orders weekly.
• Perform preventive maintenance monthly on lift stations.
• Prepare daily reports of actions taken.
• Exercise valves and ARV maintenance.
• Work with contractors during major repairs.
