Job summary

Inframark seeks a Wastewater Maintenance Technician I to perform inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and minor repairs to a range of equipment. This entry-level role supports facility operations under guidance to extend asset life and reliability.

Responsibilities include assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician, keeping tools and workspaces organized, and documenting work orders. The role may require weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation to ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior water or wastewater treatment facility experience preferred.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and assist in team-based environments.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and follow written/oral instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
• Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification or ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways safely.
• Must be able to pass a fit-test for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
