Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. seeks a Wastewater Engineering Intern to join our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Engineering Team in West Allis, WI for a May/June 2027 start through Aug/Sep 2027.

You will gain hands-on experience in planning, design, and construction-phase activities for municipal and industrial wastewater and renewable energy projects, with mentorship from experienced engineers. Potential to transition into a full-time position after graduation.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two semesters of civil, environmental, chemical, biochemical, or mechanical engineering coursework.
• Preferred: prior industrial internship, co-op, or related work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design and delivery of wastewater and renewable energy projects.
• Conduct project and technology-related research.
• Compile, organize, and analyze technical data.
• Assist with process calculations, equipment sizing, and design development.
• Prepare technical evaluations, reports, and project deliverables.
• Communicate with vendors; review vendor information.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members.
• Possibly visit client facilities to collect field information.
• Develop technical skills with mentorship from experienced engineers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
