Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a full-time, limited-term Structural Engineering Intern to join our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Structural Engineering Team in West Allis, WI.

The internship begins May/June 2027 and continues through August/September 2027, offering hands-on experience with experienced engineers on sustainability and infrastructure projects. You will support engineers on the Greenhouse Gas Reduction, Food & Beverage, and Wastewater market sectors, performing design analysis,

Qualifications

• Completed at least four semesters of college-level coursework in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design and analysis of structural systems, including foundations and supports.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Prepare and update drawings, technical documentation, and project deliverables.
• Utilize structural software such as Visual Analysis, RISA, TEDDS, and ENERCALC.
• Review submittals and assist with quality control activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across engineering disciplines.
• Visit project sites to observe construction progress and support project execution.
• Attend client meetings and assist with client communication.
