Job summary

Fairfield Glade Co in Crossville, TN is seeking a Director of Wastewater to provide strategic leadership for wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems and related infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

You will manage personnel and budgets, drive preventive maintenance and capital projects, and coordinate with regulators, engineers, and executives to protect public health and the environment while supporting long-term infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive wastewater experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Wastewater Collection Operator certification must be reciprocal or obtainable within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Establish operating priorities and procedures to maintain reliable service and effective treatment.
• Lead all Wastewater System activities and provide direction.
• Schedule projects and manage overall project delivery for Wastewater Systems.
• Investigate deficiencies and compliance issues; develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor performance, lab results, equipment condition and data; take corrective action.
• Maintain departmental safety procedures and emergency response plans.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all agencies and regulations.
• Strategic planning for division, short and long term.
• Coordinate with State/local officials regarding wastewater activities.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Prepare budgets and oversee capital and operating budgets.
