Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC is seeking a Waste Water Supervisor to lead the plant's wastewater program. You will oversee the physical-chemical treatment process, ensure 100% compliance with environmental regulations, and design preventive measures to avoid failures in treatment and disposal.

You will coordinate repairs, manage preventive maintenance, and supervise lab activities while maintaining safe handling of hazardous wastes and maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent job experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in waste water treatment or industrial process roles.
• Ability to obtain IEPA Class K Waste Water Operator Certification within 6 months.
• 24 hour HAZWOPER certification within first 6 months and maintain annual refresher.
• DOT Shipping Hazardous Materials Training within first 6 months and refresher every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment system to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate repairs with maintenance to minimize downtime and environmental impact.
• Establish and manage preventive maintenance programs for waste water systems.
• Manage department inventories and supervise lab activities.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling and documentation of hazardous waste.
• Maintain accurate records and update procedures as needed.
• Prepare regulatory reports and perform regular audits.
• Respond to spills and work with environmental and safety teams to ensure compliance.
