W3Global is seeking a Wastewater Engineer to join our Apex/Cary area team. The role blends office design, engineering calculations, and regulatory permitting with fieldwork, site assessments, and client collaboration across residential, commercial, and agricultural projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, experience in onsite wastewater systems, and the ability to interpret soil and site data for practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Ability to evaluate soil science reports, site data, and environmental parameters for engineering applications.
• Proficiency in drafting clear engineering reports, construction specifications, and regulatory permit documentation.
• Comfort with balancing office design tasks with active field duties and site visits.
• Familiarity with municipal or industrial wastewater systems and sustainability projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop onsite wastewater designs, calculations, plans, and specs for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects.
• Perform on-site evaluations, sampling, data collection, and project monitoring.
• Interpret soil science data and site indicators to inform practical design solutions.
• Prepare permit packages and regulatory documentation for agency review.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, field contractors, and regulators throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with municipal/industrial wastewater evaluations and carbon-offset initiatives.
