Qualifications

• Knowledge of HS2 inspections and monitoring.
• Demonstrated experience in using spreadsheets for tracking and planning purposes.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret a variety of schedules, drawings, specifications, and data reports; Skill in reviewing and compiling data, developing reports.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly, with strong skills in safety and quality awareness.
• Knowledge of Cathodic Protection systems.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve, be flexible under shifting priorities and tight timelines, and apply good judgment and initiative.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work on several projects/tasks simultaneously and complete projects/tasks within specified deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to adhere to and assist in developing standard Operating procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Support Sewer System Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Program: perform general sewer inspections and diagnoses for pipelines, tunnels and siphons; perform sewer cleaning and repair activities as necessary, based on inspections and on-call situations; assess rock box conditions; oversee cleaning and repair projects with contractors, assess and repair maintenance hole frame and covers; track and report daily site visits, condition assessments and cleaning activities including debris removal; respond to emergencies with other staff to assess conditions and report out, repair and replace CP stations.
• Maintenance Hole Inspection and Repair: Locate Maintenance Holes (MH) and other related assets for inspection and testing using maps, engineering and other drawing reviews, and GIS and other mapping applications. Assess and repair MHs and operate construction equipment. Track and document daily site visits and organize H2S, CP, and Hazmat inspection program folders as well as spreadsheets for easy access and use.
• H2S Inspection, Testing and Monitoring Program: perform H2S corrosion inspections and collect grab samples for H2S, dissolved Sulfite, dissolved Oxygen, Nitrate/Nitrite, and PH level and temperature measurements and analysis throughout the WTD conveyance system. Review and perform trend QA/QC and analysis of data. Assist in updating SOPs and maintain and calibrate field monitoring and testing equipment per recommended schedule or as needed. Assist in maintaining existing and/or new data management system(s) to better manage, understand, and trend existing and future H2S sampling data.
• Support the External Corrosion (Cathodic Protection) Program: perform map and engineering drawing reviews, and field locating, visual inspections and testing of CP systems; Update location pictures and related information, and coordinate with GIS and Asset Management groups to document identified CP assets in databases; assist with updating Specifications and Program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); assist with in-house repair of failed CP systems; Perform QA/QC of data and maintain and calibrate field monitoring and testing equipment per recommended schedule or as needed.]
