Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess valid Class B CDL at hire.
• Must obtain NJDEP C1 license within two years of hire and company pays for training materials.
• Knowledge of collection system and tools, and experience in water/wastewater operations preferred.
• OSHA training including Confined Space Entry and Lockout/Tagout beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assists Collections Operator in the use of sewer cleaning, rodding equipment and repairs to collection systems.
• Assists in cleaning bar screen facilities across the collection system.
• Performs weekly preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Learns and gains skills in equipment and tools used for maintaining the collection system.
• Reads and interprets sewer maps, plans, prints, specs and operations manuals.
• Keeps maintenance records using a CMMS system, develops computer spreadsheets, and uses Word and Excel.
• Establishes cooperative relationships with coworkers and performs other duties as required.
• Performs Activity Hazard Analysis and Pre-Task Plan.
