Veolia in North America is seeking a Wastewater Collection System Operator in Holyoke, MA. This role focuses on operating and maintaining sanitary and storm water collection systems, with street sweeping and customer issue response as part of daily duties.

You will inspect and prepare equipment, set up traffic control, and participate in daily safety meetings. A valid driver’s license and required certifications are essential, with CDL-B and Grade I Certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• One year of experience with storm water and sanitary collection systems preferred.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in wastewater operations preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and technical drawings preferred.
• Ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain equipment.

Responsabilités

• Operates and maintains equipment for sanitary and storm water collection systems.
• Conducts street sweeping and addresses customer complaints as needed.
• Sets up traffic control and prepares sites for work.
• Inspects equipment and vehicles at start and end of day; participates in tailgate meetings.
• Responds to wastewater and water system emergencies and complies with safety regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
