Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an operator/maintenance professional to participate in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities in Holyoke, MA. You will monitor pumps, valves, motors, and chemical feed equipment, adjust treatment processes, collect samples and record results.

The role requires a high school diploma, some wastewater experience preferred, and the ability to communicate professionally while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some wastewater experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates wastewater treatment plant equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, blowers, and chemical feed equipment.
• Adjusts chemical treatment of plant processes as required.
• Collects samples, runs tests and keeps records.
• Furnishes necessary assistance to regulatory representatives inspecting the plant.
• Responds to and controls accidental releases of hazardous liquids and gases; performs confined space entries as required.
