Job summary

The Novato Sanitary District seeks a Collection System Superintendent to lead the wastewater collection and recycled water systems. You will oversee daily operations, plan maintenance, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the district.

The ideal candidate will have CWEA Grade IV, a related degree, and the ability to lead field crews while maintaining records and ensuring reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or Public Administration (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in math, science and public administration.
• 4 years of collection system maintenance/inspection experience, including 1 year in a lead/supervisory role.
• CWEA Grade IV Collections System Maintenance certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance and regulatory compliance of the wastewater collection and recycled water systems.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance activities and crews.
• Serve as a technical resource for assigned crews and ensure safety and quality standards.

Education
