• Typical qualifications include an associate degree in wastewater technology or related field and six years of progressively responsible experience with two years in a supervisory role.
• Possession of a California SWRCB Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade V certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage daily functions of the wastewater treatment plant.
• Develop, administer, and monitor operating and CIP budgets; ensure adherence to funding and policy requirements.
• Supervise staff; recruit, train, evaluate, and discipline when required.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and contractors; prepare reports for regulatory bodies.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures; drive continuous improvements in plant performance.
• Oversee contracts and capital projects; evaluate proposals and manage deliverables.
