Job summary

SPSA is seeking a Scale Attendant to greet customers, verify residency, weigh inbound/outbound trucks, and record data. The role requires careful handling of cashless transactions, data entry, and operating scale equipment across multiple transfer stations. Strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, data entry, scale operation, and cashiering.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to work across SPSA scale house locations.
• An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers to verify residency, record visits, weigh vehicles, and screen for unauthorized waste.
• Processes customer credit card transactions and ensures balances are correct at the end of each shift.
• Receives and handles phone calls and face-to-face interactions in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ensures scales and recording devices are operating properly and reports malfunctions.
