Job summary
Liberty University, Inc. is seeking a Waste, Streets & Recycling Assistant Manager to help develop and implement procedures for the disposal of waste, hazardous waste, hazardous recycling, and recycling on campus in line with governmental regulations and university goals.
The role supervises staff and equipment, coordinates with the WSR Manager, and ensures waste removal services are delivered at every campus location on designated days, including snow removal and special events, while adhering
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of administrative/managerial experience in grounds, waste, or recycling.
- CDL license required with reputable driving record.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Responsibilities
- Supervise equipment, staff time, purchases, and requisitions.
- Fill in for manager and CDL drivers during absences.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct WSR maintenance and operations.
- Ensure waste removal services at all campus locations on schedule.
- Maintain accountability systems for labor and equipment.
- Coordinate WSR-related subcontractors as needed.
