Job summary

Liberty University Waste, Streets & Recycling seeks an Assistant Manager to help develop and implement campus waste, recycling, and hazardous materials procedures. You will supervise equipment, personnel, and purchasing, and fill in for leadership during absences.

The role involves coordinating with the WSR team to ensure efficient waste removal services across campus. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in admin/managerial grounds/waste, a CDL, and strong communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of admin and managerial experience in grounds maintenance, maintenance, waste, or recycling.
• CDL license with insurable driving record.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to work with the public.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing procedures for waste, hazardous waste, recycling, and contaminated materials.
• Supervise equipment, time management, purchases, requisitions, and management support.
• Fill in for the WSR manager and CDL drivers as needed.
• Coordinate with WSR manager, supervisors, technicians, and leads to complete tasks.
• Maintain accountability systems for labor and equipment.
