Job summary

Augment Human Resource Services is seeking General Laborers for upcoming waste audit and special project assignments at partner waste and recycling facilities in San Diego. This temporary, project-based role involves outdoor work and site cleanup, with a focus on environmental reporting and operational improvement.

Responsibilities include sorting waste for audits, separating recyclables, and assisting with general labor tasks while following PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in general labor, warehouse, sanitation, or recycling is helpful.
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work including bending, lifting, standing, and sorting for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be dependable, on time, and ready to work the full assignment duration.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Sort through waste and recyclable materials by hand for audit and reporting purposes.
• Separate items into specific categories (e.g., plastics, cardboard, organics, metals, contamination).
• Assist with general labor tasks such as loading/unloading bins, cleaning work areas, and organizing materials.
• Use PPE (gloves, safety glasses, masks) and follow strict safety protocols throughout the assignment.
• Support site leads with any other project-related duties as assigned.
• Report any safety concerns or irregularities to supervisors immediately.
