Job summary

Republic Services in Concord, NC is seeking an Operator - Heavy Equipment to safely operate at recycling centers, landfills or transfer stations, transferring, spreading, loading and compacting waste with a focus on safety and productivity.

You will inspect gear before and after use, run equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader, monitor for unacceptable waste, perform minor maintenance, complete reports, and uphold all safety policies to keep the shop clean and

Qualifications

Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
Familiarity with OSHA-site requirements and safety policies.
Ability to follow work schedules and maintain equipment readiness.

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Safely operate equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
Monitor waste quality and equipment condition to minimize downtime.
Perform minor service on equipment and document reports; refer complex issues to Maintenance Shop.
Maintain a clean, serviced shop and adhere to all safety policies.
