Job summary

The City and County of Denver is seeking a Solid Waste Customer Service Agent to serve residents and constant liaison with field crews. You will educate on policies, resolve service inquiries, and ensure accurate data handling for trash, recycling, composting, and large-item pickup.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of high-volume customer service, strong communication, and problem-solving skills. The role is on-site with potential hybrid options after probation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Three years of customer service experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with data entry and clerical tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 60 inbound calls daily and respond to emails.
• Explain rules and procedures, research problems, and provide accurate resolutions.
• Input data into computer systems and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Organize data, communicate results clearly, and manage time effectively.
• Address customer complaints and offer solutions within time limits.
