Job summary

City of Abilene seeks a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support Solid Waste & Recycling operations. You will handle inquiries, process requests, and assist customers in person, by phone, and via email.

Role requires proficiency with ERP/CRM systems, data entry, and strong communication. Some travel to service sites may be required, with emphasis on accurate billing and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of previous customer service experience is required.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain one within ninety (90) days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs via email, in person, and by telephone.
• Manage multiple telephone lines using an Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) phone system.
• Utilize ERP and CRM systems to create service requests and research billing history.
• Process and route documents and invoices and assist with office records.
• Learn and operate Tyler ERP and water utility billing software to support billing runs and service verification.
