Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) seeks a Waste Sampling and Analysis Coordinator to provide technical leadership for hazardous, radioactive, and waste sampling activities on site, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely data validation.

This full-time, on-site role requires leading complex sampling operations, coordinating with external labs, developing procedures, and mentoring staff while upholding LLNL's safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or related field required.
• Fundamental knowledge of state and federal waste regulations (RCRA, DOT).
• Experience leading sampling and analysis under QA programs.
• Ability to interpret complex chemical and radiological data.
• Experience coordinating with off-site laboratories and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee hazardous, non-hazardous, and radioactive waste sampling operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and timely data validation and reporting.
• Manage onsite lab operations and interface with external labs.
• Develop, review, and maintain sampling and analysis procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team.
