Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Team Leader to oversee Waste Management-Waste Generator Services. You will supervise coordinators, technicians, and staff responsible for cradle-to-grave management of hazardous and radioactive wastes.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with DOE Orders, RCRA, NMHW, TSCA, and DOT regulations, and directing waste profiling, determinations, packaging, and disposition planning across LANL programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an accredited field and 5 years related experience.
• Experience leading teams responsible for hazardous, radioactive and TSCA waste.
• Strong knowledge of waste characterization, certification, and disposition.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of WMCs, NHWTs, and waste professionals for cradle-to-grave waste management.
• Ensure compliance with DOE Orders, RCRA, NMHW, TSCA, 49 CFR and WAC requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory interactions, audits, and disposition planning.
• Develop and approve waste profiles, documentation, and certification.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple facilities and programs.
