Job summary

GFL is hiring a Residential Driver to safely collect solid waste or recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes in the Kansas City area. You will operate a fully automated side loading truck, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and report any mechanical issues to maintenance and supervision.

The role requires a valid CDL, at least two years of driving experience or CDL school completion, and the ability to work independently while meeting route quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• CDL license is required.
• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automated side loading truck on designated routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports.
• Report mechanical problems to supervisor and mechanic immediately.
• Maintain route quality standards and safety compliance.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior; document services performed.
