Job summary

GFL is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside routes, operating a rear/side-load truck with hydraulic systems. You will complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain route quality, and communicate any vehicle issues to supervisors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a CDL, with physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a dynamic outdoor environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Valid CDL required for operation of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections and document results.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned routes.
• Load waste and recyclables; operate truck hydraulics to assist loading.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete reports daily.
• Maintain route quality; adhere to safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor; assist with route optimization.
