Job summary

Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District is seeking a Supervisor to lead field teams, ensuring safe and efficient waste collection, delivery, and repair services. The role requires coordinating routes, training staff, and resolving customer concerns while maintaining strong relations with program managers.

As a key link between frontline staff and management, you will oversee performance, ensure policy compliance, and drive daily operations.

Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience in a field closely related to these duties, one (1) year of which must have been in a leadership or supervisory role.
Must possess a valid Utah Class B Driver’s License and DOT Medical Card.
General proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

Supervises and provides support for work groups and lead operators across all services, ensuring routes and operations meet daily demand.
Provides training and retraining for District employees, including new hire and safety training.
Responds to customer concerns and educates customers about waste and recycling services while coordinating with Managers.
Generates performance evaluations and coordinates with Managers for improvement plans.
Leads team meetings and participates in safety and operational meetings as needed.
Maintains daily incident/accident reporting and ensures proper documentation.
