Job summary

Under general direction, the incumbent will plan, organize, and direct daily activities, recruit and develop staff, and collaborate with other departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the assigned service area or special programs.
• Direct and schedule work of collection crews and operators.
• Develop long-range plans for the district.
• Inspect collection routes and landfills for regulatory compliance.
• Respond to citizen complaints.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Coordinate safety training programs.
• Coordinate with other departments and agencies on projects.
• Monitor the budget for the service area.
• Prepare reports and correspondence.
• Fulfill related duties as required.
