Job summary

Capital Waste Services LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely run and inspect heavy machinery at our recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations. You will perform routine maintenance, monitor waste for quality, and uphold all safety standards while supporting efficient operations.

The role requires prior heavy equipment experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work on-site with a dependable schedule.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to policies.
• Ability to operate and inspect multiple heavy equipment types.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment per policy.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer and loader.
• Monitor waste quality and report unacceptable waste.
• Maintain equipment and report needed repairs.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required documentation.
• Follow all safety policies and keep the shop clean after shifts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
