Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment in Houston to safely operate heavy machinery at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations. You will perform pre/post inspections, monitor waste, and help with loading, spreading and compacting tasks while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires 2 years of related heavy equipment experience and at least 1 year at OSHA-regulated sites, plus strong customer service and reliability. Excellent benefits follow.

Responsibilities

• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and equipment readiness.
• Document minor service and report repairs as needed.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and keep shop clean.
