Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy equipment at our recycling center, landfill or transfer station. The role includes pre/post inspections, equipment operation, waste monitoring, basic maintenance, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in heavy equipment, 1+ year at OSHA-regulated sites, and excellent customer service. This on-site position offers competitive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader).
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Perform minor service and report repairs.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required reports.
• Follow safety policies and keep shop clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
