Job summary

Republic Services in Florence, SC is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate equipment at our recycling/landfill sites. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections and ensure safety standards are met during loading, spreading, covering, and compacting waste or soil.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Perform minor service on equipment and document reports.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs.
• Follow all safety policies and keep the shop clean and organized.
