Job summary

Clean Harbors’ remediation group seeks a Waste Project Manager located in the Midwest United States. The role oversees complex projects involving waste loading, handling, and transportation across multiple modes.

Travel to several project sites is required; hybrid work up to 50% remote with travel across the Midwest and nationwide as needed. Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 plus annual bonus and OT premium pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in hazardous waste disposal process preferred.
• Strong customer management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe practices.
• Interface with sales, operations, customers, and engineers.
• Manage large, technically and regulatory complex projects for waste loading, handling, transport, and disposal.
• Prepare reports: proposals, cost estimates, work scopes, manifests, bill of lading, inspections, status reports.
• Submit site status and regulatory compliance reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and period closure.
• Build relationships with key customers and address their priorities.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
